Submission Guidelines
The International Journal of Business and Economics Insights (IJBEI) welcomes high-quality submissions that contribute to advancing knowledge in business, management, economics, finance, and related interdisciplinary fields. IJBEI publishes original research articles, reviews, theoretical contributions, case studies, policy commentaries, and book reviews that combine academic rigor with real-world significance. These guidelines are designed to help authors prepare manuscripts that meet the journal’s editorial standards and ensure a smooth submission, peer review, and publication process.
Types of Manuscripts Accepted
IJBEI accepts a variety of manuscript types to foster diversity in scholarly discourse:
· Original Research Articles (4,000–8,000 words): Empirical studies using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches that provide novel insights.
· Review Articles (5,000–10,000 words): Comprehensive, critical reviews or meta-analyses summarizing existing literature and identifying research gaps.
· Theoretical Papers (4,000–7,000 words): Conceptual frameworks and new theories contributing to business, economics, or interdisciplinary advancement.
· Case Studies (2,500–5,000 words): Detailed examinations of business practices, policy interventions, or economic contexts with practical implications.
· Short Communications (1,500–3,000 words): Brief, impactful reports of emerging findings or commentaries on pressing issues.
· Book Reviews and Editorials (1,000–2,500 words): Critical assessments of recent publications, policy perspectives, or thought leadership essays.
All manuscripts must be written in clear scholarly English and should include references, ethical statements, and declarations of originality
Manuscript Formatting Requirements
To ensure uniformity and ease of review, all submissions must follow these formatting rules:
· File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
· Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
· Spacing: 1.5 line spacing throughout
· Margins: 1 inch on all sides
· Page Numbers: Bottom center on every page
· Language: English (American or British, but consistent within the manuscript)
These standards ensure compatibility with peer review, editing, and typesetting processes.
Manuscript Structure
a. Title Page
· Full article title (concise yet informative)
· Author names and affiliations
· ORCID iDs (recommended, if available)
· Corresponding author’s email address
· Acknowledgments of contributors and funding sources
· Conflict of interest statement
b. Abstract
· Length: 150–250 words
· Content: concise summary of background, methodology, findings, and implications
· Keywords: 4–6 relevant terms placed directly below the abstract
c. Main Body (Standard Research Structure)
· Introduction: Context, rationale, and objectives
· Literature Review: Relevant prior studies (if applicable)
· Methodology / Research Design: Clear description of methods, data, and procedures
· Results / Findings: Presentation of key outcomes supported by data
· Discussion: Interpretation of results in relation to theory and practice
· Conclusion and Implications: Summary of contributions and future directions
Other manuscript types (e.g., theoretical papers, case studies, or reviews) may follow adapted structures as appropriate.
d. References
· All references must follow APA 7th edition style.
e. Tables and Figures
· Embedded within the text or placed at the end of the manuscript.
· Each must include a title, number, and caption.
· Use editable formats (Word tables, Excel charts).

Authors must ensure accurate and complete referencing. Examples include:

Ethical and Legal Considerations
IJBEI upholds the highest ethical standards. Authors must include:
· Conflict of Interest Declaration – disclose financial, professional, or personal conflicts.
· Funding Disclosure – state all sources of support or declare “No external funding.”
· Ethical Approval – required for research involving human subjects, including surveys and interviews.
· Data Availability Statement – indicate where supporting data is accessible.
IJBEI follows COPE guidelines. Manuscripts involving plagiarism, data manipulation, or unethical practices will be rejected or retracted

Cover Letter Guidelines
The cover letter should provide:
· Article title and author list
· Statement confirming originality and exclusivity (not under review elsewhere)
· Justification of the paper’s contribution to IJBEI’s scope
· Funding and conflict of interest declarations
· Corresponding author’s full contact details
Submissions without cover letters may experience processing delays.
Peer Review Process
IJBEI uses a rigorous double-blind peer review system:
· Reviewers and authors remain anonymous.
· Each submission is reviewed by at least two experts.
· Review duration: 3–5 weeks on average.
Decision outcomes include:
· Accept
· Minor Revision (14 days for resubmission)
· Major Revision (30 days for resubmission)
· Reject
Revised submissions must include a response letter explaining how reviewer comments were addressed

Manuscript Withdrawal and Corrections
· Authors may withdraw manuscripts before acceptance with written notice.
· After acceptance, withdrawal requires editorial approval.
· Published articles may be updated via:
o Corrigenda / Errata – for minor errors.
o Retractions – for major ethical or factual issues.
All corrections follow COPE guidelines
Post-Acceptance and Publication
Upon acceptance, authors will:
· Receive formatted proofs for approval.
· Be assigned a DOI.
· Have the article published Online-First and later included in the quarterly issue.
· Receive a publication certificate and indexing details
